St. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- Cool Down St. Louis officials started their summer projects Friday by accepting 150 window air-conditioners through Ameren Missouri’s Air Conditioner Giveaway Program.
According to program officials, only qualified seniors and disabled people with low income will receive utility assistance as long as supplies last.
Cool Down St.Louis is a regional, not-for-profit group that covers about 16 Missouri and Illinois counties. CDSTL said it will soon unveil additional plans for their “Check On Your Neighbors” project.
People who want to make donations can visit cooldownstlouis.org. The program also encourages people to drop off new or used units at any area Vatterott College starting Monday.
