O’FALLON, Mo – A 26-year-old O’Fallon woman faces charges after police say she sold heroin to her father, which ended up sending him to the hospital due to overdose.
Jodi L. England, 26, was charged with delivery of a controlled substance and marijuana possession.
Police said Jodi England injected her father Steve England at his house in the 100 block of Briarwood Drive in Moscow Mills on Friday.
Court documents show that a detective from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department went to Lincoln County Medical Center to get information from Steve England. While in the emergency room, England told the detective that he had used heroin that day along with three other times during the previous week. He said his daughter sold him the heroin for $10.
Major Kurt Venneman said the father told police that he knew his daughter was a heroin addict and he wanted to do the drug as well.
A detective searched Jodi England’s car and found a red backpack that included syringes, a spoon and several capsules that included traces of heroin.
Police talked to Jodi, who admitted to giving her father the heroin because he had asked her on many occasions.
Jodi England was being held on a $20,000 cash-only bail.
