MEMPHIS, Tenn. (CNN) -- Animal-lovers came to the rescue for a stray dog in Memphis that was spotted with a plastic jug caught on its head.
Beth Gresham took a photo of the pooch and shared it with friends on Facebook. Ten to 20 people came out to search for the stray, which they found the next day.
One searcher cut the jug off the dog's head with wire cutters, and animal hospital workers named the dog "Miracle."
"Miracle" has already gained five pounds and is now up for adoption.
