ST. LOUIS (BaseballStL) – Starter Jaime Garcia has returned to St. Louis to undergo tests to figure out what could be ailing the lefty after a terrible outing on Tuesday.
Garcia was rocked for six earned runs in two innings pitched against the Astros on Tuesday. He missed his previously scheduled start due elbow discomfort in his pitching arm.
The team found out after his shaky outing on Tuesday night that the lefthander was bothered by soreness in his hip.
According to general manager John Mozeliak, it is unlikely that Garcia will make his next scheduled start which would come against the Cleveland Indians on Sunday.
