WASHINGTON PARK, Ill. (KMOV.com) – A man was airlifted to the hospital after his vehicle flipped multiple times during a wreck in Washington Park on Wednesday.
Authorities said the man was driving in the 2400 block of Route 111 near railroad tracks around 12:15 p.m. when his vehicle crossed the center line and struck a car head-on.
A witness told police the first vehicle flipped three times, trapping the driver inside. He was helped out and airlifted to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A female in the second vehicle suffered minor injuries, but was not transported to the hospital.
It was still not clear what caused the driver to cross the center line.
