(KMOV) – Police are searching for suspects who smashed into the front of a Florissant jewelry store, then lit the getaway car on fire.

Authorities said at least three suspects stole a Navy Dodge Durango and used it to smash drive through the front of a jewelry store in the Flower Valley Shopping Center near New Halls Ferry and Lindbergh just before 5 a.m. Friday.

Police said the suspects stole an unknown amount of items and drove from the scene in a stolen green Acura heading northbound on Lindbergh.

The car was later found on fire in Jennings and the suspects were nowhere to be seen.

Authorities are still investigating.
