EDWARDSVILLE, IL (KMOV) -- Southern Illinois University Edwardsville sent out a letter on Wednesday addressing the long-time issue concerning geese on its campus.

According to the letter from an SIUE official, the Canada Geese that populate the vast campus in Edwardsville will be gathered, killed, and made into food.

The letter claims the geese have become too aggressive and are attacking students.

The university says the U.S. Department of Agriculture is involved and the food will go toward the less fortunate.
