On the first day of free agency the Rams made a deal for a quarterback. It was just not a name that was on the radar.
Rams General Manager Billy Devaney confirmed on The Morning After that the Rams are signing former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback A.J. Feeley. Feeley who spent last season on the Carolina Panthers roster will be 33 years old on Opening Day and is at the very least an interesting signing for the Rams.
Feeley's career has not been much over the past few years. He has mostly ridden the bench in San Diego, Philadelphia and Carolina over the past 4 seasons.
Most notable in Feeley's career was his stint in 2002 when he lead the Eagles to win 4 of their last 5 games and keeping the Eagles in the playoff race until Donovan McNabb could return. Feeley was later traded to Miami to be the starter but failed in that position during the 2004-05 seasons, being beaten out by Jay Fiedler.
