Cardinals Spring Training: Lohse, Lopez making Spring debuts

Jupiter, Fl (KMOV) - After originally saying new St. Louis Cardinals acquisition Felipe Lopez  would not play a spring training game until at least Monday, manager Tony La Russa changed his mind.

Yes that's right, Lopez will make his 2010 spring training debut today vs. the "home team" Florda Marlins at Roger Dean Stadium (technically the Marlins are home but they both share the same spring training complex).

Kyle Lohse will start for the Cardinals in what also is his spring training debut. He will face Marlins ace Josh Johnson, a 15 game winner last season with a 3.23 ERA.

Outfielders Matt Holliday and Ryan Ludwick will both start the game on the bench, as will catcher Yadier Molina. Instead, outfielder Tyler Henley will make his first outfield start.

The lineup:

1. Skip Schumaker (2B)

2. Felipe Lopez (3B)

3. Albert Pujols (1B)

4. Colby Rasmus (CF)

5. Nick Stavinoha (DH)

6. Jon Jay (LF)

7. Jason LaRue (C)

9. Tyler Greene (SS)

Pitchers on the bench: LH Jaime Garcia, RH Ryan Franklin, RH Fernando Salas, RH Oneli Perez , and LHP Tyler Norrick.
