Harris-Stowe presents its Annual Career Fair and Teacher Interview Day

St. Louis, MO (March 4, 2010) - Harris-Stowe State University will hold its Teacher Interview Day on Tuesday, March 9, 8:30 a.m.-1:10 p.m., and the annual Career Fair will be held Tuesday, March 16, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Both events will be held in the Emerson Performance Center's Board of Regents Gymnasium and require participants to dress professionally and bring resumes.

For the Teacher Interview Day, teachers and those in the education field may sign up for 20-minute interview sessions with the school districts in which they are interested. In all, 25 school districts/schools will participate, such as Hazelwood, Clayton, Columbia, Ladue, St. Louis Public and University City. Walk-ins may sign up for any district with available openings, but only certified teachers and education program graduates are eligible.

Employers at the annual Career Fair will be seeking to fill full-time, part-time, internship and co-op positions. Admission is free, and all job seekers are welcome. Participating companies include the FDIC, St. Louis Police Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), MasterCard, Enterprise, Regions Bank, Sherwin-Williams, the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency and Social Security to name a few.

Preceding the Career Fair at 10 a.m., Enterprise will make a special presentation on "How to Work a Career Fair." The presentation is also free and open to the public, and it will be held in the Emerson Performance Center's Bank of America Theatre.
