(KMOV) -- Police are trying to find the hit-and-run driver who killed a woman overnight in north St. Louis.
It happened around 10 p.m. Thursday in the 1300 block of North Grand.

Witnesses told police 38-year-old Charnique Elbert was standing in the street weaving in and out of traffic. A dark
blue Ford Expedition was traveling north on North Grand and struck the victim, then
drove away from the scene. Elbert was taken to an area hospital where she was later
pronounced dead. The investigation is ongoing.
