Jefferson County Sheriff Oliver "Glenn" Boyer advised that on Wednesday, February 24, 2010, Deputies responded to Robbery in the 3100 Blk of Pleasant Dr., High Ridge, Mo
Deputies upon arrival made contact with the victim described as W/F, Age 62. The victim advised that she had been to the Shell Station at Hwy PP and Hwy 30 where she had purchased some Lottery tickets. The victim advised that she was approached by a W/M, approximately 45 yoa and he asked her if she had won any money on the Lottery tickets. The victim replied yes, that she had won $1000.00 recently. The victim then left the Shell station and drove to her residence, where she was approached by the same W/M., as she was carrying her groceries up the stairs to her residence. The W/M offered to carry her groceries at which time he pulled her purse with strap from her shoulder and then ran toward his vehicle described as: Black Ford Ranger Pick up. The Robbery was witnessed by the victim's husband who began an attempt to chase the suspect. A second witness was able to provide a license plate number as well as a description. It was later learned the suspect used a credit card belonging to the victim at a convenience store in House Springs, Mo., and also attempted to use the card at an area grocery store, but the card was declined. Deputies were able to obtain surveillance video from several businesses of the suspect's vehicle. On Saturday, February 27, 2010, deputies observed a vehicle matching the description of the vehicle wanted in the Robbery. A traffic stop was initiated and the suspect was identified and arrested. The suspect directed deputies to two different locations, where the victim's purse and contents were recovered. The suspect was conveyed to the Jefferson County Jail and was booked.
On Sunday, February 28, 2010, warrants were issued by the Prosecuting Attorney's Office charging the suspect identified as: David P. McCall
W/M, DOB 03/14/1966
With Robbery in the 2nd Degree, Forgery and Fraudulent Use of a Credit Device.
McCall remains in the Jefferson County Jail with No Bond
