(KMOV) -- A fundraiser for St. Clair High School is getting PETA's attention.
On Monday night, the school is hosting a donkey basketball game, but PETA is asking the superintendent to cancel the event.
PETA says the donkeys are often dragged, kicked or hit with stray balls.
"Circle a Donkey," the company that owns the donkeys talked to the newspaper The Missourian and said that PETA doesn't know what they're talking about. The company also says that if a donkey doesn't seem to want to participate, they don't make the animal play.
