Jupiter, Fla. (KMOV) - The weather was a bit chilly (for South Florida standards) Sunday morning for workouts at the Roger Dean Stadium complex, but that didn't prevent one of the best matchups of Spring from happening.

Cardinals ace Chris Carpenter faced the heart of the lineup in Albert Pujols, Matt Holliday, and Ryan Ludwick, and other than a few would-be hits allowed, the former Cy Young Award winner looked sharp.

Cardinals newcomer Brad Penny also pitched, but was having trouble getting the ball down in the zone. That led to Cardinals prospect Pete Kozma hitting one of those high pitches all the way to the track. Pitching coach Dave Duncan is going to want to see Penny get his pitches lower in the strike zone as Spring progresses.
