(KMOV) – Two North Glendale Elementary students ran home to call police after they were approached by a suspicious man while walking home from school Friday afternoon.

Police said around 3:40 p.m. on Friday, the students were walking home from school on Sappington Road near North Glendale School when a man pulled up in a car and told them to get in.

The students immediately ran to their nearby homes and called police. They were not harmed and the suspect never exited the vehicle.

Police notified school officials and surrounding law enforcement agencies of the incident.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 20's with brown, medium length curly hair and a goatee or soul patch. He was wearing a red shirt with gray or white lettering and driving a red compact 4-door car.
