Bone rattling bridge

Appearances can be deceiving.  There is a bridge in North St. Louis that connects I-70 to the industrial area along Hall Street to the east.  The outer two lanes are closed to traffic because the surface is so bad, and so many big rigs use that bridge.  Mo-Dot says its structurally safe, just has a bad surface.  Photographer Naum Furman hitched a ride with the driver of a big rig on that bridge today and the video (and audio) is amazing.  Let's just say I wouldn't suggest trying to take a sip of coffee while driving on it.  Mo-Dot says work on it begins late next month and in the meantime, it is safe.
