In the NFL this is a very slow time for "real" news. When this happens, the rumor mill starts spinning faster then ever, especially right around the NFL Combine.
The Rams are going to be right at the top of the list over the next couple weeks in the rumor mill. Between the team having the number one draft pick, an uncapped year and 32 teams deciding how they are going to navigate their way through a possible lockout, there is going to be a lot of speculation as to what the Rams are going to do with their number one pick overall.
The number one rumor that is floating around out there is that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers want to move up to the #1 spot to select Ndamukong Suh, moving up from their #3 position. The rumor reportedly is for a swap of the first round picks and, depending on who you read, another first round pick, additional later round picks, and/or quarterback Josh Johnson.
There is enough smoke around this rumor that it even being talked about by Peter King. Even though King does not believe there is any chance of that deal happening it would not surprise me if there is a real market out there for the number one pick. With so many variables out there, with each team, it creates a more uncertain market then usual.
