What kinds of things will thieves risk possible jail time in order to steal? The answer might surprise you.

I just got through reading the weekly report on crime from the Fenton Precinct of the St. Louis County Police Department. This office investigates a lot of shoplifting at the stores in the Gravois Bluffs shopping center. It's interesting to look through the report to see the kinds of things that people try to steal.

Keep in mind that they're risking a criminal record, a fine and possibly jail time for stealing stuff from these stores. So, you'd think the criminals would take something that would make the risk worth it, right? Wrong. Take a look at the list of stuff that was stolen from May 16th to May 22nd. Each line represents a separate shoplifting incident.
