Police have Person of Interest in South County Home Invasion

You've heard it before---crime can happen anywhere.  Today was a perfect example of that.  The south St. Louis county Oakville Forest subdivision is idyllic.  The homes are beautiful, the lawns are well-kept and manicured the landscaping is impressive.  We talked with one neighbor today who said he was recently at Disney World and his neighborhood reminded him of the amusement park.  If you've ever been there you know what he means.  It's pristine.  At night they steam clean the streets.  Trash is practically outlawed. Everything is about as picture perfect as you can make it.  That's what this neighborhood is like.

But even in beautiful places, ugly things happen.  A man and woman were severely beaten at their home overnight Thursday into Friday morning.  It's believed they were unconscious for several hours (latest word we have is that the man may still be unconscious) until the woman came to on Friday afternoon about 3:45 and made her way to her neighbor's house to get help.

The neighbors have lived next-door to the woman for ten years.  When she came to their door to ask for help she was so badly beaten and bloody they did not recognize her at first.

Police have identified a "Person of Interest' in the case.  They're looking for a grey 2009 Toyota Rav4 with a Missouri license plate UB3-Y6J.

If you have any information you're asked to call the police or CrimeStoppers.  CrimeStoppers number is 866.371.TIPS
