(KMOV) -- MoDOT employees had a softball tournament benefit on Sunday.
The tournament was more about a good time. It raised money as part of an ongoing effort to raise money for a memorial to honor MoDOT workers killed while working on Missouri roads.
Organizers said more than 26 MoDOT workers have been killed over the years, and that they are halfway to their goal of $80,000 to $100,000. The memorial will be built in Jefferson City.
