CHICAGO (AP) -- A Chicago grad student who was dragged by a cab after arguing with the driver has died.
Authorities say 32-year-old Daniel Firkins died at a Chicago hospital Saturday, eight days after the incident.
Witnesses say Firkins had hailed the cab outside his North Side apartment on May 14 and started arguing with the driver before getting inside.
Police say Firkins was leaning on a window to talk to the driver when he sped off, pulling Firkins for a block and running over his legs. Firkins' father says he also suffered skull fractures.
Police are still looking for the cab driver, who fled the scene. The cab was white with a blue stripe.
Firkins was working on his MBA at the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business.
