(KMOV)-- The body of a St. Charles soldier killed in action in Afghanistan, is back in St. Louis.

Sergeant Dennis Kisseloff, 45, was killed last Friday in a rocket attack on his unit. His remains are expected to travel along Interstate 70 into St. Charles Friday afternoon. It will exit at Mid Rivers Mall Drive, heading south to Buchholz Mortuary.

A veterans' group is encouraging residents to pay their respects along the route. His funeral will be Saturday.

Sergeant Kisseloff leaves behind two children.

 

Funeral arrangements for have been scheduled. Visitation is being held at the Buchholz Math Hermann Mortuary in St. Peters from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. May 21.

Funeral services are at the Saint Joseph Catholic Church, St. Charles, at 10:30, May 22. Graveside service follows at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
