(KMOV) -- St. Louis Police Board President Todd Epsten was replaced on Wednesday by Commissioner Bettye Battle-Turner, on a 3-2 vote.

Following the vote, Epsten said he would be resigning soon, and walked out of the meeting.

Epsten was supported by Mayor Francis Slay, but Battle-Turner got support from the two newest board members, Richard Gray and Michael Gerdine.

It's not clear what dispute led to Epsten's losing battle to remain President.

Also, during Wednesday's meeting, the Police Board voted to release the records from the World Series ticket scalping scandal, per a court order.

The board is not planning on appealing the decision.
