(KMOV) -- There were no injuries following a roof collapse at the Good News Baptist Church in Jennings. Officials say this happened around 10:45 a.m. on Saturday.
According to Captain Steinmeyer with the Jennings Fire Department, the main beam in the church broke, causing a third of the roof to collapse.
There was no one in the church at the time. The minister and others were in the administration building when the roof caved in. Utilities have been turned off in the church.
The building is approximately 50 years old.
Church service will be held in the administration building on Sunday. The church is located at 8850 Jennings Station Road.
