(KMOV) -- The Bayless School District decided to balance its budget, but did it in a way that might complicate the lives of parents.
In a letter sent home with students, the district said they would be cutting its school bus service starting next year. The letter said the district will hire crossing guards as a result.
"The Board's goal was to minimize the cuts' negative effect on classroom learning while still being good financial stewards," the letter said.
