(KMOV) -- A St. Charles woman has been sentenced to 21 months in prison after pleading guilty to one count of wire fraud Friday.
Robin Stockstrum, 40, admitted to embezzling over $200,000 from her former employer, Jim Trenary Chevrolet of Troy, Missouri. She abused her position as office manager of the car dealership where she was responsible for handling cash and other financial transactions.
She stole money by intercepting wire transfers and created phony records to doctor the dealerships financial records. Stockstrum also helped make car payments for herself and family members as part of the scheme.
As part of her plea agreement, in addition to serving time in prison she is also ordered to pay restitution.
