(KMOV) -- The St. Clair County Health Department said today a bird tested positive for the West Nile Virus.
The department said they will begin testing for the virus in pools of mosquitoes when overnight temperatures are above 60 degrees. Inspectors will continue testing birds to watch the spread of disease.
The department said the appearance of birds that test positive for West Nile Virus is not unexpected at this time of year.
