Authorities evacuate Godfrey elementary school after bomb threat

(KMOV) – Authorities and school personnel evacuated North Elementary School in Godfrey, Illinois, after a bomb threat was found on a bathroom wall. 

This happened Wednesday morning around 8:40.

 

A student located the threat and notified school personnel. The school was evacuated and students were bused to Lewis and Clark Community College.

 

After authorities cleared the building, bomb-sniffing dogs searched the building. Nothing suspicious was found.

 

Classes resumed at the school building in the afternoon. Detectives are continuing with leads in the investigation.
