(KMOV) –Several states are considering a plan to help homeowners facing foreclosure.
In some cases, the government would pay the homeowner’s entire mortgage for up to two years.
Fair or not, homeowners in Michigan, Florida, California and Arizona who are upside down on their mortgages, or unemployed and facing foreclosure might be rescued by the government. The plan could soon extend to more states.
St. Louisans have mixed feelings about a government and taxpayer bailout. Some say it’s along the same lines of bailing out the big banks.
What do you think? Should the government use taxpayer money to pay homeowners’ mortgage payments? Vote in our poll to the right of the page.
