(KMOV) – A spokesperson from St. Louis City Mayor Francis Slay’s office says that officers are on the lookout for the “stripper-mobile,” which has been making appearances at during home baseball games this season.
Many fans find the huge truck hauling scantily-clad women highly offensive, and want the city to take action.
But because this issue falls underneath the First Amendment, the city cannot arrest them just for being out.
However, officers can pull the stripper-mobile over for traffic violations.
Some Cardinals fans say they hope the police do something. Several of them pointed out that baseball games are family events and they don’t think children should be exposed to adult material.
The mayor called attention to the stripper-mobile on his blog a few weeks back. In his blog entry, he asked the owner to stay out of St. Louis while the sun is up, and so far it has. City leaders say they’ll take that as a small victory.
