(KMOV) -- The human rights group Amnesty International was in St. Louis Tuesday trying to save life of convicted murder Reginald Clemons.
Clemons is on death row after being convicted of killing Julie and Robin Kerry. The sisters were forced off the Chain of Rocks Bridge in 1991.
Clemons has always maintained his innocence.
Amnesty International says Clemons’ case involved police misconduct and flawed jury selection.
They want his death sentence commuted. Clemons’ mother is pushing for a new trial.
The Missouri Attorney General’s office said it recently found new lab reports and physical evidence in Clemons’ case. A judge is reviewing the conviction.
