(KMOV) –- Gusty winds and strong storms are to blame for a tree falling onto a nursing home in Ferguson. This happened at the Oak Knoll Nursing Home on North Clark near Carson Road just after 9:00 p.m. on Monday.

The wind gusts snapped a huge tree and half. The tree took down two power poles with it. Both the tree and the power poles landed on the nursing home, puncturing several holes in the roof.

Seven people had to be moved out of the home late Monday night. Ten more residents will have to be moved Tuesday morning.

Emergency crews on scene tell News 4 that the storms damage mostly impacted one wing of the nursing home.
 
No one inside was the home was injured.

The remaining residents will be moved to another nursing home in South County until repairs can be made.
