(KMOV) – Boeing rolled out its newest unmanned aircraft, the Phantom Ray.
Boeing hopes it will be a major asset to the U.S. military.
Pilots will operate the Phantom Ray by remote control when it’s on surveillance or bombing missions.
“The fact that Boeing has the capabilities to take a customer’s requirements and see their needs and turn that into a product like the Phantom Ray…is just invaluable for the armed forces and for the future of Boeing,” says Sarah Grove, Boeing fuel engineer.
Boeing says the Phantom Ray’s first test mission should be in December.
