Teen pleads guilty in case of murdered Creve Coeur woman

(KMOV) – Kenneth Shepard, 18, pleaded guilty on Monday in the case of a murdered Creve Coeur woman. 

Susan Schaffer was shot and killed in December of 2008 after walking in on two theives burglarizing her home. Lorenzo Wilson is also charged in the crime. He will go to trial in December.

Shepard pleaded guilty to murder in the 2nd degree, armed criminal action, burglary in the 1st degree and stealing more than $500.

Sentencing for Shepard will be June 25th at the St. Louis County Courthouse.

Both suspects were 17 years old at the time of the crime.
