(KMOV)--Residents of the King Bee Loft Building on Washington Avenue are suing the developers.
Ten residents are suing the developers, David Jump and Sam Glasser, because an April inspection of the building’s fire sprinkler system found numerous violations. Just last week, concrete chunks fell off the building’s façade.
The tenants say it’s been a problem since 2006. They have documents between the fire department and developers listing the fire code violations to prove it. They are also placing blame on the city for not showing an urgency to do anything about the problems.
An attorney representing the developers says they have many satisfied tenants who are not joining in the lawsuit and say that the problems from 2006 were addressed.
The city’s building inspector cannot comment due to the pending litigation.
