Some good advice from the fire department today.
I'll get to that in a moment.
First, some background. About 3:00 this morning fire broke out an apartment complex in Wildwood. Half a dozen apartments were affected. Three suffered extensive smoke, water and/or fire damage. A passerby and some neighbors went around pounding on doors and alerting other residents to get out. Everybody did get out safely.
The fire department emailed us a news release on the fire. In the release a spokesperson wrote that this is a good reminder for people to have a fire evacuation plan. Think about it now. Practice it every few months. As the fire department wrote--in the middle of the night, with a smoke and fire in your home is not when you want to make a plan for your family.
