(KMOV) -- After the St. Louis prosecutor said there wasn't enough evidence to warrant charges against a group of St. Louis University atheletes in an alleged sexual assault on campus, the victim's attorney said they will pursue the matter through the university's Office of Conduct.
Last weekend, a 20-year-old woman said she was sexually assaulted on SLU's campus. Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce said today charges would not be pursued at this time, but if any new information surfaces, Joyce said she would reconsider.
The Associated Press reported today the attorney who represents the three Billiken's basketball players questioned said it's "inconcievable" that anything new would surface to support charges.
The university said in a statement Thursday that it, "cares about all of its students, especially those who have been affected by this matter," and that the university will continue its cooperation with authorities.
