ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – A 23-year-old Washington University student says she was robbed after a suspect forced her to drive to various ATMS throughout the city on Tuesday.

The victim told police she was entering her vehicle on the north side of Washington University’s Danforth Campus around 9:40 p.m. when the suspect approached.

Police said the suspect told her he had a knife and demanded she drive to several ATMS in St. Louis to withdraw money from her bank account.

Authorities said the suspect eventually got out of the victim’s vehicle somewhere in the city. The victim then drove home.

Police said she was not injured during the incident.

Authorities said they determined the suspect walked onto the campus from Big Bend minutes before the robbery.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late teens or early 20s. He’s about 6-feet tall and has a medium build. Police say he was wearing a white New York Yankees hat, a white t-shirt and black pants.

Anyone with information on the crime is asked to call the Washington University Police at 935-5555 or CrimeStoppers at 866-371-8477.
