COLUMBIA, Mo. (Missouri Football App) -- The Missouri Tigers Football team is gearing up for its first game of the 2012 season on Saturday.
This will be Mizzou’s first season as a member of the Southeastern Conference and they look to start out the season with a win against the Southeastern Louisiana Lions.
Mizzou is coming off a 2011 campaign that included an 8-5 overall record. The Tigers ended the year by clobbering the University of North Carolina 41-24 in the AdvoCare V100 Independence Bowl.
Southeastern Louisiana finished last season with a 3-8 record. The Lions especially struggled on the road last season, finishing winless in six away games. The Lions are members of the Southland Conference, which is part of the NCAA Division I-AA.

Mizzou had a 5-1 home record last year. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. at home in Columbia at Memorial Stadium.
