Two men injured after being shot at inside pickup truck in north St. Louis

ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – Two men were injured after being shot at inside a pickup truck in north St. Louis on Thursday.

Police said a group of people were sitting inside a truck in the 4000 block of Beck around 3 p.m. when the shooting occurred.

Ward committeeman Anthony Bell told News 4 the shooting started on Bailey, where men were leaning out of a grey car shooting assault rifles at the truck. Bell says someone in the truck was returning fire. The driver kept going until parking at the Retirement Village apartment complex in the 4000 block of Peck.

Authorities said a passenger in the back seat was struck. The driver of the vehicle suffered injuries after apparently being hit by flying glass.

The conditions of the victims were not immediately known.

Police are looking for four black male suspects.

Police continue to investigate.
