ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV)—Several students were injured after a school bus collided with a Metro bus in north St. Louis City Wednesday morning.
According to St. Louis fire officials, the accident happened at the intersection of North Kingshighway and Maple around 7 a.m.
Police said the school bus had approximately 19 middle school students on board at the time of the crash.
At least five kids were transported with minor injuries to a local hospital. The driver of the Metro bus was also taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.
A second bus arrived on scene and took the non-injured students to school.
The injured students were released from the hospital later Wednesday morning.
Police continue to investigate the cause.
