GLENDALE, Mo (KMOV.com) -- News 4 is following a rash of break-ins in Glendale.
Thieves targeted 40 cars in just one night. The list of stolen items is long and includes credit cards, electronics, wallets, loose change and even a musical instrument.
The cars were either parked in driveways or in front homes. “A lot of times this is crimes of opportunity,” said Glendale Police Chief Jeff Beaton. “Individuals will come into communities where they feel [residents] will have items of value in their vehicle and will check the doors to see if they’re unlocked.”
Chief Beaton says all the cars burglarized were left unlocked.
