ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Police are investigating after a vehicle traveled off a south St. Louis roadway and crashed into the River Des Peres Thursday morning.
According to reports, the crash happened just after 6 a.m. near the intersection of Weber Road and River City Casino Boulevard.
The truck apparently left the roadway and traveled down a steep embankment. The truck eventually came to rest in the River Des Peres. The water level in the river is low, so the vehicle was not submerged.
A fire official said nobody was injured in the crash. Police are now trying to determine how the driver ended up crashing into the river.
