VELDA CITY (KMOV.com) -- Law enforcement in a North County community has seized weapons, drugs, and other dangerous items from suspected criminals.
The collection seized by the Velda City Police Department included 13 guns, a badge, and a police scanner. Police say three of the guns had been stolen, some of which came from as far away as New Mexico and Georgia. The guns also included a handgun with a 30 round clip and a sawed off shot gun.
"All of them are obviously pretty dangerous, but we really worry about the high powered handguns and the carbeam," said Velda Chief of Police Daniel Paulino. "Vests can only take so much and these two weapons are of a big concern to law enforcement."
Police also arrested two men, who as of now, have not been charged. All of the items are now being stored in a police evidence locker.
