(HockeyStL) -- St. Louis Blues forward Andy McDonald has been placed on the injured reserve list with a concussion.
McDonald suffered the concussion when he was bumped by teammate Nikita Nikitin and then hit in the head by a Stars player at the end of the second period of a 3-2 loss to the Dallas Stars on Thursday.
He returned to finish the game, but reportedly did not feel well on Friday morning and flew back to St. Louis to be re-evaluated.
This is the second concussion for McDonald since last December. He missed 24 games due to the concussion.
No timetable has been set for McDonald’s return.
