(KMOV.com) -- A Missouri doctor is facing federal drug charges after authorities allege he distributed drugs without legitimate medical purpose.
Keith Dale Morris, 54, from Krakow, Missouri was indicted by a federal grand jury on two felony counts of distribution of Amphetamine Salts and Oxycodone, one felony count of distribution of Hydrocodone and one felony count of distribution of Alprazolam.
According to the indictment, between April 2008 and July 2010, Dr. Morris distributed the above medications without legitimate medical purpose and outside the usual course of professional practice.
If convicted, Morris faces 55 years in prison and fines up to $2.75 million.
Morris is expected to appear in federal court on Tuesday.
