(KMOV) – Kisker Road in St. Charles County has become a traffic mess as crews are working on the Page Avenue extensipn, and it has business owners upset.
Construction has closed Kisker Road south of Highway 94. It is only supposed to take four days.
But one business owner in the area says he doesn’t think he received enough notice, and he’s fed up.
Chris Shreves says they construction is good for the long term health of the county, and the area, but he’s got to think about the short term. He says business has dried up, and he’s sending staff members out to clients to lead them to the office.
A MoDOT representative says the agency understands the frustration, and that this phase of the project will be finished by Sunday.
Once that work is wrapped up, Kisker will be connected to the new outer road.
After that, more construction will prevent cars from crossing Highway 94 for two weeks.
