Suspect charged in St. Charles gas station robbery

(KMOV.com) -- A St. Charles man has been arrested and is facing multiple charges after police said he robbed a gas station in St. Charles, Missouri.

On Tuesday, St. Charles police officers responded to the Phillips 66 station in the 500 block of First Capitol in reference to an armed robbery.

According to reports, the suspect robbed the clerk at knife point and fled the area with an undetermined amount of money. A description of the suspect, the suspect vehicle and a partial license plate lead detectives to a residence in the 400 of North Kingshighway in St. Charles.
There, officers arrested Joseph Michael Jacobs, 45.

Jacobs has been charged with 1st Degree Robbery and Armed Criminal Action. His bond is set at $100,000, cash only. Jacobs is currently on probation for another robbery offense.
