(CNN) -- Following the lead from competitors, Citibank is upping the fees on its customers.
Starting in December, the minimum balace for mid-level Citibank Accounts will go up from $6,000 to $15,000
Anyone who doesn't maintain that will have to pay $20 a month.
Customers with E-Z Checking accounts will be charged $15 a month if they don't keep a balance of $6,000.
The company previously announced that it's hiking fees on Basic Banking accounts from eight to ten dollars a month.
These moves follow similar announcements from Bank of America, Wells Fargo, J-P Morgan Chase, Sun Trust and Regions Financial.
