Two decades after Congress passed The Americans with Disabilities Act the sidewalks connecting downtown to the Arch Grounds will finally be accessable to people in wheelchairs, even though much of the Arch experience is not.
The sidewalk work is part of a $5 million project to improve Memorial Drive. MODOT calls the road "the front door to the city." It hasn't received a thorough maintenance treatment in ten years.
Some stimulus projects are jokes.
This is not one of them.
